Surviving the desert

But even without additional water there is still life in the desert. Every now and then you can find a few hardy plants trying to make a living in this really harsh environment. The growing season here is really short, sometimes even less as 30 days a year.

And the amazing this is… Plants produce flowers to attract insects for reproduction. As the production of flowers is costly, plants will only do this if there is a reasonable chance they will be pollinated…
