Ringed Plover

Last trip we had a stow away. During the first morning a Ringed Plover was discovered on the heli-deck. It missed one foot and didn’t seem to be in a really good condition, so our ship was a good place to have a rest. It gave us the opportunity to have a good look at this nice bird that we don’t see too often. And somewhere in the afternoon it decided that our plans to stay for three days in the pack ice weren’t really his thing, so he took off again. Maybe back to land…

  1. I’m sure the rest was well appreciated.
