Camera:Canon EOS-1D Mark IV
Aurora over Gryllefjord

I don’t use my 8-15mm fish eye lens a lot. It has a lot of distortion (as usual with fish eye lenses) and often I don’t need a view that wide. However when I can use it, most of the time it will give special images. Sometimes you can use the distortion in your advantage and allows the landscape for the extremely wide angle.

In this case it was the only option to capture both the mountain, the streetlights and the aurora in one image, with the lines creating some extra depth in the image.
