Gentoo Penguin

In a previous post I already wrote about the strange sexual behaviour of penguins. But they have also other strange behaviour (also known to humans…). Gentoo Penguins (like most Antarctic penguins) make their nest with small pebbles. They find them under the snow or sometimes they even dive for them under water. But there is also another way of getting them… You can also steal them from your neighbours. And it’s even easier if you ask a friend to join you from the other side… The poor penguin in the middle was trying to incubate an egg, while two of his neighbours came from different sides trying to steal some pebbles. And as he was fending off the penguin on one side, the other one could easily steal one on the other side…

Oh, and there is even another way of getting your stones… It is recorded that female penguins prostitute themselves for more pebbles…
