For a wider view
For some images a blog like this isn’t the best medium. Actually, most computer screens don’t do it real justice. It would be best to use a large wall to display an image like this, but that would make it a bit complicated to show it to others, so I’ll try it on my blog anyhow.
Adobe’s Lightroom 6 added the possibility to stitch several images together into one large panoramic photo. And they even make a .dng file, so you keep having all the advantages of shooting in raw. This way you create panoramic images with lots of detail. I really like looking at those images, zooming in at a certain point to see what’s all there. The only disadvantage is the file size. This image is made up of 7 vertical images and has over 15.000 pixels on the long edge and is nearly 400mb big…
The image is shot on a moraine near Hornbaekodden in Liefdefjord. The bay forms a nice sheltered anchorage for the Noorderlicht, the vessel I worked on this trip.
