Polar Bear, Ivory and Glaucous Gulls

When asked, most birdwatchers admit that an encounter with a Polar Bear feeding on a dead seal with Ivory Gulls around it is on top of their wish list. Sometimes we get lucky and manage to find a scene like this. It’s always remarkable to see that the Ivory Gulls are a lot more daring as the Glaucous Gulls. Where the Glaucs wait until the bears are ready to steal their meal, dare the Ivory Gulls to pick a few bites at the other end of the seal while the bears are eating.
