Glaucous Gulls on a dead seal

After the Polar Bears are done with the seal not much is left. Just a few bones and some intestines are left behind. The bears will always start with the layer of blubber as that contains most energy. Well-fed bears might leave after eating just that, leaving the rest for other bears. When the bears are done, the Glaucous Gulls take over. They have been patiently waiting for their turn, apparently they are less brave as the Ivory Gulls, who don’t mind eating together with the bears. Even though there is still enough left for them, this often causes arguments, as can be seen in the image.
