When I took this image everybody was looking towards the glacier opposite of this side. For good reason as we witnessed some of the greater calvings I’ve ever seen. Huge chunks of ice were falling from the glacier front and eventually a large part of the glacier front collapsed. This draw a lot of attention of course. However, the other side was equally interesting. The bay had filled nicely with all shorts of icebergs and brash ice and together with the mountains they formed nice lines creating a lot of depth in this image.

The message of this image? How nice the things are in front of you, also have a look over your back, there might be a great image there, one that most people don’t see.
