Of bears and cliffs – part II
Without any ropes she climbed further and further down, clearly her mind set on the guillemot chicks on the ledges. For the birds there was not much else to do as to stay on their ‘nests’ as long as possible and then fly away before they were caught themselves. Even though the cliffs must be quite slippery (the pinkish stuff is guano produced by the birds, the rock itself is black). It was truly amazing to see this big predator climb down these cliffs with easy.
