Bearded Seal

A Zodiac cruise in front of a glacier with lots of pieces of ice is always a nice experience. The crackling of the ice, calving glacier and the different colours of the bergy bits. It gets even more exciting when a seal is spotted on one of the icebergs. Often it turns out to be a bearded seal. With some care this species can be approached closely. During the first day of the past cruise we found such a seal. Nice light, nice bergs and a nice seal. After we all had a close look, we left him just as we found him.
