Shore Crab

Meet mr Crab. We found him hanging from the beak of a young Herring Gull, fighting vigorously, defending himself against ending up as the gulls main course for the evening. We were just getting ready to photograph and film this scene, when the gull got scared and flew off, leaving the crab behind on the beach. Now we focussed on the crab, who didn’t appear to thankful for saving him. After posing for us for a while, we thanked him and placed him back in the sea.
