Swimming Polar Bear in front of a glacier

I’ve tried to take pictures of swimming bears before. But I wasn’t really satisfied, until now. After posing nicely for us in front of the glacier, it swam off. It followed the glacier for a while and eventually climbed up the mountain a little to go for a rest. For me this picture works, as the bear is clearly visible, but there are also icebergs in the foreground and part of the glacier in the back giving the picture more too look at. Because the glacier isn’t lit up by the sun, all attention still goes to the bear in front of it.

  1. This is so lovely! A great moment captured!

  2. Nice indeed, I like the contrast between dark and light.
