Aperture:f/5
Focal Length:180mm
ISO:500
Shutter:1/1000 sec
Camera:Canon EOS-1D Mark IV
Banded Demoiselle

Banded Demoiselles are one of the nicest damselflies in the Netherlands. Where other damselflies have transparent wings, demoiselles have colored wings. These wings look like stained glass to me, but are not made by man, but by nature.

This is one of the first pictures I took with my 1DmkIV in combination with the 180mm macro. The advantage above the 5DmkII is that I can use the crop factor, so keep a bit more distance. I’ll probably use both bodies for macro now🙂
