Njupeskär, Fulufjallet, Sweden

Shortly after I returned from my trip to Spitsbergen, I already left for the next one. This time the Swedish National Park “Fulufjallet” was the destination. The aims for this trip were to take some nice pictures of the taiga for my new lecture “From taiga to pack ice” and to take pictures of Siberian Jays and Moose. I succeeded in the first two, but missed the later. One of the main characters of Fulufjallet NP is Swedish highest waterfall: Njupeskär. With a free fall of 90 meters it’s a really impressive sight. It’s nice to walk around the waterfall, getting all different views, from below and from above.

This picture is taken from underneath the waterfall, with a long shutter speed to capture the movement of the stream and the fall. The movie shows the stream before, at and after the waterfall. Nice to see all changes. I hope you like it.
