Variable Bluet

Today we had another macro workshop in the Dwingelderveld. A small group, financially not very attractive, but it’s nice to give the customers more attention. During the workshop I saw a nice female Small Whiteface, not uncommon, but a species that I rarely see. Unfortunately I hadn’t time (or didn’t take the time during the workshop) for a nice picture. In the afternoon we prepared our workshop of next week, a special dragonfly and butterfly workshop in the National Park the Wieden. Unfortunately the weather wasn’t really good, windy, sometimes a little rain and quite cold. But the area was good enough and hopefully we’ll have a bit better weather and more dragonflies and butterflies next week. In a wind sheltered place we did find a few damselflies, mainly Variable Bluets. Here a female resting in the grass.
