Northern Fulmar

My favorite kind of birds are the Albatrosses, unfortunately there are not many of them on the Northern Hemisphere, so I’ve never seen one outside of Antarctica. The species that comes closest is the Northern Fulmar. Also a member of the tubenoses and spending most time at sea. When on a ship it is always lots of fun to try to capture them in flight. However these pictures almost always have the sea or the sky as a background. After climbing a mountain I saw many Fulmars flying close by. The light was great, so I decided to take a few pictures. This one is by far my favorite.
