full of dragonflies

Sometimes 20 meters is all that it takes. Today was one of those days. I think we spent 3 hours at a stretch of 20 meters in the Fochteloerveen. Many Large Red Damselflies and Northern White-faced Darters and several Downy Emeralds, Crescent Bluets and some Common Blue Damselflies. The dragonflies were all flying around despite the not so warm temperatures and the strong wind. Our 20 meters was a bit in the wind shade, so we had the opportunity to capture them without too much movement.

After we spent 3 hours at that 20 meters we moved on a little, to realize that the next 20 meters might even have been better….
