Mad hairy cow
Of course I want to go out with my new camera. But that weather…. Grey, rain, iced rain, hardly any light… But two days ago it cleared up. I was at my dad’s place and wanted to practice my new camera a bit on the Scottish Highland Cows that are grazing in that area.A nice way to practice for my upcoming trip to Dovrefjell for Muskoxen. Those cows and oxen have more or less a similar size (the Muskoxen are a bit smaller in fact) and are also more or less as active.
When I arrived at the right place, the sun was already quite low on the horizon, giving a nice warm colour to the pictures and movie shots. While taking pictures isn’t much more difficult with my new camera (it’s still all about pressing that shutter button), filming is a whole new thing. Movement, manual focus, sound, all thing I normally didn’t have to worry about. The resulting movie isn’t of the quality I have in mind finally, but for the moment I’m quite pleased with it, especially the last shots. I hope you like it too.
