Schokland

Today I gave a lecture on a Scandinavian market in Schokland. As Schokland is on the UNESCO World Heritage list, I brought my camera in order to capture this former island in the Zuiderzee. What I didn’t take into account was that more people might visit the market… Nice for my lecture of course, but not so nice to take pictures… The skies however were great! The typical Dutch skies, that were made famous by the great painters from the 17th century. There were some heavy showers, sometimes even thunderstorms, but we also had a fair amount of sun. Here a big thunderstorm was approaching…
