The Netherlands are an very important wintering place for different species of geese. Each winter large proportions of the geese populations come to the Netherlands for the winter. This gives us a great responsibility towards them. They do cause troubles of course. Not many farmers are happy if their grasslands are home to thousands of geese grazing. They to get compensated a little, but this is by far not enough to compensate the loss of crops. Because of this the attitude of those farmers towards the geese changes and they start to hate them. Instead they should be proud that they are home to such nice animals. To realise this they should be compensated better, so they don’t loose too much money with those geese.

Great Image! Love this!
